“Do not confuse 'thinking different' with 'thinking wrong.' Diversity is not a disorder.”
— Tom Riverman
Tom brings nearly two decades of experience in guiding countless young people through life’s challenges. His approach centers on relationship-focused, strength-based mentoring, where he excels in connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
After graduating from Washington State University in 2000, Tom embarked on a career in retail. However, feeling unfulfilled in the business world, in 2007 he transitioned to working with teens at a therapeutic boarding school in North Idaho. Since then, Tom has continued to work with teens and young adults in various capacities, including as a mentor, program director, and life coach. Tom specializes in supporting young adults who struggle with anxiety and avoidance and those on the autism spectrum.
Tom is a proud father, lucky husband, certified life coach and a master certified professional coach. He volunteers as a support coach at the Hope Center (a local non-profit) and donates his time to lead a “Seeking Safety” recovery group as a free community resource. Tom has many diverse passions; among them are chess, baseball, hiking, escape rooms, fantasy books, and baking bread.
Tom’s certifications and trainings include:
Certified Life Coach (ICF accredited)
Master Certified Professional Coach (ICF accredited)
